More Happiness!

Hi, Your dark balsamic and evoo have changed my life. Now I have a green salad at least once a day. I have been buying your products at Andy’s in San Rafael. Today I bought their last bottle of vinegar and they have not had the evoo in a while. Please contact them or let me know where else I can buy your products in Marin. I have turned other friends on to them and they are loved unanimously.

Thanks for a great product. Jude

Customer Appreciation!

Thanks so much! My husband and I are small organic growers in
Plumas County, living at almost 4,000 feet in elevation. We greatly
appreciate the hard work of family businesses. Dealing with the
fluctuations of climate, energy, demands on our time, economics,
family concerns, being HUMAN – all of this is difficult, and yet we
must put on a cheery face to the public. I do not mean to sound
negative. We are blessed in that we are doing what we love, what has
value to our fellow beings, and we have the very real sense of right
livelihood. I just want you to know that your vision, your work, your
final beautiful products are immensely appreciated. Blessings on you.
Susanne

I am glad to have discovered the wonderful taste htat Calolea has to offer, I’ve never tasted such a rich and unique flavor and the aroma is fantastic. It makes my senses tingle with joy.

I love your product and it is by far the best I’ve tasted.

Where do you sell your product, This is the first time I’ve been expose to Calolea. Do you sell in supermarkets?

Comments: Hi!
Last November, my boyfriend and I were in California and stopped by a craft fair which you were selling your products. We purchased an olive oil (that we went through in like– a week) and I also purchased a small bar of the complexion soap.

I had not tried the soap until about a week ago. I have incredibly sensitive skin and was concerned about how I might react to it.

OH MY GOSH, I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! The scent is unbelievably fresh and clean and my skin feels and looks absolutely amazing. I can’t believe I waited this long to try it.

Thank you for offering your products. They are absolutely wonderful!

Sincerely,
Nicole Madison

Lemon Olive Oil Cake; presented by Linda Marrone

Lemon Olive Oil Cake
11⁄2 cups flour
1⁄3 cup yellow cornmeal
3⁄4 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
1⁄4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1⁄4 cup olive oil (I used Calolea Meyer Lemon, from our Farmers Market)
1 teaspoon lemon oil or vanilla
• Preheat oven to 350F. Butter a 9-inch round cake pan with 2 inch high sides and line bottom with parchment paper.
• Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder in large bowl. Whisk buttermilk, eggs, lemon peel, and flavoring in small bowl. Whisk together butter and olive oil. Pour buttermilk and butter mixture into flour. Using rubber spatula, gently fold flour mixture until just blended. Do not stir. Scrape batter into pan and spread evenly. Bake about 30 minutes or until tester inserted into center comes out clean.
• Before cake is finished baking, in a sauce pan combine 1⁄2 cup of sugar and 1⁄3 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice over low heat to make a syrup. Cook to thicken for a couple of minutes. Spoon syrup over cake after it comes out of the oven while it is still warm. Remove from pan.

Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition

We just returned from the Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition. We couldn’t believe it when we were awarded the 2008 BEST IN SHOW award.  In fact, we’re still shocked!  We just started in this business in 1999 and it’s been a wild ride.  In previous years, 2004, 2005, and 2006, we received the BEST IN CLASS award.  Thanks to everyone who has supported us this last 9 years.  We couldn’t have done it without you!
