Olive Wood Coasters

Our olive wood coasters are created from century-old olive trees.  The wood is sustainably harvested from branches that no longer bear fruit. Each piece is shaped, sanded, and polished with olive oil to bring out the beauty of the grain. Each piece is unique, with no two coasters alike. Use them to protect all of your hard surfaces. Place them under drinks with ice to keep rings from forming on your wood tables. Placed under candles they bring warmth to the room and protect your counters from any melted wax. Scatter them across your vanity to artfully display your earrings, rings, and small jewelry. 

At Calolea, we grow our olive trees for their fruit, but we’ve found that our customers love our olive wood coasters, and appreciate the practical use of this hard, dense, heavy, and strong wood. The way olive trees grow, the branches twist around the trunk in many directions. Occasionally, we’ll find a branch that doesn’t bear fruit and can be harvested to make our coasters.
